Medivet Hornsey is part of the Medivet group. It’s set up for both routine care and urgent problems: reviewers mention same-day emergency appointments (including for pets not registered) as well as planned procedures like cat spaying/neutering with detailed drop-off and aftercare explanations. The practice is also listed as a veterinary nurse training facility.
Reviewers describe calm, step-by-step handling for anxious and reactive dogs (including getting a large reactive dog onto the scales and into a treatment room), and same-day referrals when specialist input was needed (an oncology referral issued the same day). One recent review strongly disputes the quality and ethics of care around a seriously ill cat (alleged misdiagnosis and high-cost recommendations), so experiences appear mixed in complex cases.

My Cat, Tess, went in for her Neurering (Spayed) operation. I dropped her off at 9.15am. On arrival everything in detail was explained to me and when I could pick her up. I picked Tess up at 3.30pm the same day and Tess's aftercare was explained to me in detail. The Veterinarian was compasionate and full of hope that Tess would recover with no complications, soothing words. This was a comfort, a nice touch was they gave Tess a toy mouse. A great approach with a smile and care throughout. Wonderful to have a Veterinary practice like this.

Unable to diagnose my cat had pneumonia and instead insisted on pancreatitis. At their 24hrs clinic they refused to treat the cat and charged £150 for the conversation! They asked to leave the cat at a cost of £1000 to check if the cat would have eaten with them! Just unable to have the correct ethics and provide a service in line with any professional code of conduct! The cat died after a few weeks!

My dog Waffles gets very anxious at the vet but our vet at Medivet is so patient, calming, and knowledgeable that we are able to get through vet visits much smoother than before. She is always happy to answer any questions I have. Their entire staff is so kind and truly care about their pet patients. ♥️grateful to have found them

I cannot thank the team enough for looking after my elderly and reactive rescue dog. We normally see Ianthi who is the head vet. She is an excellent vet who treats our rather difficult (and enormous) dog with patience and kindess. She has even managed to get him to walk voluntarily onto the weighing scales and even walk into a treatment room. Also, we purchase a copy of our prescriptions and buy the medication online - and it’s always allows us to use it twice which saves us paying for a new prescription every time Furthermore, when our elderly cat was diagnosed with cancer we requested an animal oncologist, and they issued our referral on the same day, they also reviewed him every Saturday until it was time to say goodbye.

Amazing service! I was able to get a same day emergency appointment even though my dog was not registered with them. The vets were lovely and thorough. Thank you so much! Really good and reasonable fees too :)
